Tisha B'Av, a fast day, commemorates several days of destruction and disaster throughout Jewish history, including the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem through the largest deportation of Jews to Auschwitz during the Holocaust. It's an opportunity to reflect on the power of words to destroy and stand up for what is right and just. It's also an opportunity to reflect on how our communities today lift the value of justice and freedom and where we fall short.
