Would you like to plant daffodil bulbs as part of the Daffodil Project? Each daffodil is in memory of a child lost in the Holocaust. As of Fall 2018, the project has passed the 500,000 mark world-wide (Am Yisrael Chai), and we've planted about 2,400 at the AA! We've reinvigorated our B'nei Mitzvah program designed for students in 3rd - 6th grade. The B'nei Mitzvah program is the first step in cultivating the feeling of a "cohort" for our children as each progresses toward his/her Bar or Bat Mitzvah and raises the spiritual and intellectual engagement from parents and children. Pirkei Avot, or Chapters of the Fathers, contains well-known Jewish ethical wisdom such as "You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it." As is traditional on Shabbat afternoons following the Pesach holiday, we will study Pirkei Avot at the Rabbi's Tish starting this week. Look for the square table with the benches, and grab a seat any time! We will begin about 20-30 minutes after the service ends.
