DESCRIPTION:Join AA's Greening Group and Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) for Reverse Tashlich\, this year on World River Day! The ritual of Tashlich requires us to symbolically cast our sins into a body of moving water; Reverse Tashlich asks us to remove human-made trash from our rivers and streams\, much of which ultimately flows into our oceans. This year\, like last year\, we will clean the Peachtree Creek Greenway\, a beautiful walking/running path just a few miles east of AA. This cleanup will be one of hundreds worldwide under the umbrella of Repair the Sea. \nPlease arrive at the parking lot by 1:45 p.m. to register. All are welcome to stay on dry ground\, but if you plan on getting down and dirty\, be sure to wear boots. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. Kesher is Ahavath Achim Synagogue's Jewish school program for children Pre-K through 6th grade. \nThe Kesher program meshes Jewish holidays and values and children's interests into a child-centered\, project-based curriculum. We believe in teaching children to view relationships and interactions with others and the environment through the lens of ten Jewish values (listed below). We create confident and curious Jewish learners in a safe space where they can take risks\, question\, play\, learn\, explore\, engage\, create\, make meaning\, and love. We foster the child's sense of Jewish self-discovery by providing a nurturing environment where each person can explore and create their own identity. \nThe Kesher program is generously endowed by the Judith and Aaron z"l Alembik Ahavath Achim Youth Education Program.
