DESCRIPTION:Join us for our community's all-night learning in partnership with Congregation Bet Haverim\, Ma'alot\, and 18Doors to celebrate the giving of the Torah. \nWe'll offer multiple in-person and virtual learning tracks and special learning tailored to this year's theme: "Singing at Sinai." DESCRIPTION:Join Rabbi Rosenthal every Wednesday for an exploration into the minds of our rabbis to better understand our modern Jewish world and the innovative process of Rabbinic Judaism. This year we will be studying Tractate Megillah\, Chapter 1 "Megillah Nikret\," understanding the days that different Jewish communities and townships can read the Biblical Book of Esther in celebration of the Purim Holiday. As always\, this study will take us far beyond the holiday of Purim giving us an insight into the lives Jews lived in the past and a better idea of the spiritual life we live today. No experience of Talmud study is needed. We will work in English translation and the conversation will flow from our hearts and minds. \nAlthough an online text will be shared\, Rabbi Rosenthal encourages all students to purchase their own copy of Tractate Megillah. DESCRIPTION:The Ahavath Achim Synagogue Antisemitism Task Force is organizing an outing to The Breman Museum\, which will offer a docent-led tour of its exhibition "Absence of Humanity: The Holocaust Years." This exhibition presents the history of the Holocaust through artifacts and stories of Atlanta area Holocaust survivors. Following the tour\, a Holocaust survivor\, a relative of a survivor\, or a video of a survivor will offer a presentation. Attendance is limited to 60 participants\, and registration is required (link below). Attendees will pay a group rate admission fee upon arrival at the Breman Museum ($5 for seniors and $7 for adults). \n Register
