SUMMARY:Passover Family Shabbat Experience ⏺️
DESCRIPTION:Join us one Saturday a month for our new Family and Kesher Shabbat Experience! We will offer a genuine synagogue and community experience with special opportunities for our children to authentically experience Shabbat with their community\, gain comfort in sanctuary space\, rituals\, and prayer\, and prepare for his/her B'nai Mitzvah. Parents\, grandparents\, and special friends will have the opportunity to engage in these meaningful Jewish experiences with their children\, grandchildren\, and special friends. \nSpecial Passover Family Shabbat Schedule: \n\n9–9:45 a.m.: Pre-B'nai Mitzvah Cohort\n9:30–10:00 a.m.: Breakfast\n10–11:15 a.m.: Kesher Classes (families can play games\, join services\, or go to Torah Study)\n11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m.: Family-Friendly Passover Seder for the AA Community\n12:15–12:30 p.m.: Everyone to Main Sanctuary\n12:30 p.m.: Everyone to Oneg\n\nDates: September 7\, November 2\, December 7*\, January 11*\, February 1\, March 1*\, April 5\, May 3 \nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:Kesher is Hebrew for "connection\," and connection is at the center of everything we do. Kesher is Ahavath Achim Synagogue's Jewish school program for children Pre-K through 6th grade. \nThe Kesher program meshes Jewish holidays and values and children's interests into a child-centered\, project-based curriculum. We believe in teaching children to view relationships and interactions with others and the environment through the lens of ten Jewish values. We create confident and curious Jewish learners in a safe space where they can take risks\, question\, play\, learn\, explore\, engage\, create\, make meaning\, and love. We foster the child's sense of Jewish self-discovery by providing a nurturing environment where each person can explore and create their own identity. \nThe Kesher program is generously endowed by the Judith and Aaron z"l Alembik Ahavath Achim Youth Education Program.
