In an effort to maintain safety in a rapidly-changing Covid environment, we now require registration for all in-person events held at AA Synagogue. Whether registering online or over the phone, registrants 16 years or older will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result prior to the event. (Negative PCR test results are only valid for 48 hours and, therefore, must be shown at the door on the day of the event.) A mask must be worn at all times when inside the building.

AA's Love Unites Hate Divides Initiative (LUHD) invites you to participate with them in the ScholarStream program (a learning initiative of JTS, Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, USCJ, and the Rabbinical Assembly). The LUHD Initiative will be participating in the following sessions:

  • Wednesday, November 11 at 10 pm: Rabbi Cheryl Peretz will examine the centuries-old Jewish march towards gender equality and justice
  • Wednesday, November 18 at 10 pm: Rabbi Dr. Elliot Dorff will explore the concept of communal forgiveness
  • Wednesday, December 2 at 10 pm: Rabbi Dr. Gail Labovitz on what Exodus must teach us about intersectionality
  • Wednesday, December 9 at 10 pm: Rabbi Dr. Aryeh Cohen on building a multiracial democracy

In addition to the four sessions listed above, our community will hold two debriefing sessions with Rabbi Rosenthal to delve deeper into the learning, to answer questions, and to open the discussion to larger issues. These sessions will take place on Sunday, November 22 at 10:30 am and Sunday, December 6 at 11 am.

If you wish to participate in any of the classes, please contact Jill Rosner (; 404.603.5741) for a coupon code that will allow you to register free of charge. Questions? Please contact Rabbi Neil Sandler (; 404.603.5740).
