Human Traffick Proof the ATL
Mon, Apr 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Please plan to join us for an opportunity to learn and understand the devastating impact of sex and labor trafficking on our local Atlanta community.
Deborah Richardson, Executive Director of the International Human Trafficking Institute, an initiative of the Center for Civil and Human Rights, will guide us in how to raise awareness about trafficking in Atlanta and the steps we need to take to end it. The Institute has a three-year plan to train 50,000 people to recognize human trafficking, and we want to ensure that the Jewish Community is a vital and active part of that plan.
Together we hope to destroy the cloak of anonymity that surrounds human trafficking. Let’s come together to find out how we can be a part of the Institute’s plan to “Learn something. See something. Do Something.” This program will be followed by later additional training opportunities enabling those who are interested to serve as leaders in facilitating a community-wide response to the problem of human trafficking, dates for subsequent training are to be announced.
