The need for blood during the Coronavirus is greater than ever! Do the mitzvah of donating blood at Ahavath Achim Synagogue’s quarterly Blood Drive. Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. To support social distancing, appointments are now required (schedule appointment through the button below)! The following safety precautions will be taken when you arrive for your appointment:
- No one will be allowed to enter the building without having their temperature taken.
- Beds will be six feet apart or more.
- Donors will be asked to come at their scheduled time; If they come early and we have reached the number inside for that time, they will have to wait outside until it is their turn.
- All donor chairs will be sterilized between each donor which will also take longer.
The Quarterly Blood Drive is sponsored by Ahavath Achim Synagogue, Congregation Shearith Israel, Congregation Or VeShalom, Jewish War Veterans Post 112, and Fulton Lodge No. 216 Free and Accepted Masons.
