Machar – Tomorrow: Children in grades 3-5 will get together during the school year for fun, exciting events to start building a community. Macharniks get a taste of what the older youth groups do by participating in activities that include social, religious, athletic, social action and much more. Machar engages the children and creates friendships through its programs.
Kadima – Forward: Teens in grades 6-8 become part an exciting community participating in monthly programs, lock-ins and weekly “lounge afternoons”. The programs include social, religious/education and social action to give our Kadimaniks a taste of what they will experience later in USY. Kadimaniks are able to attend conventions with Kadimaniks from all over the Hanegev Region and are given membership to Kadima internationally.
USY – United Synagogue Youth: Teens in grades 9-12 make up our senior youth group offering a spectrum of programming that covers all aspects of Judaism, from social to religious services. Diverse programming is planned by the USYers themselves and is an important part of the Chai USY experience. By the time our youth move forward after participating in the Chai Youth Community, they should be confident and capable Jewish leaders. Our UYSers also attend regional and international conventions with USYers from around the Southeast and North America.
