Chai Youth

Youth group is the informal space for our children to learn, belong and become. Ahavath Achim Youth Group's offer children and teens the opportunity to create a Jewish community of their own. Many of the 'communities' that our children participate in are pre-made and packaged, which doesn't give our children true social, physical and spiritual ownership. Youth Group is the place where our children create the content of what we do and what we believe. This is achieved through the building and deepening of friendships, cultivating a sense of belonging to each other, our synagogue community, and the greater Atlanta community. Moments shared are filled with fun while rooted in Jewish values. Welcome to the youth community at Ahavath Achim Synagogue.

We have four youth groups for kids in kindergarten through 12th grades, where our children will:

  • Build strong relationships
  • Create a community built on Jewish values, shared purpose, mutual respect, and unending support. Our community is rooted in values like:
    • Chaverut (Friendship)
    • Kehillah (Community)
    • Kavod (Respect)
    • Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World)
    • Ahavat Torah (Love of Torah)
  • Engage in fun activities around Atlanta, always exploring them through a Jewish Lens
  • Deepen their sense of belonging with the synagogue and Jewish community
  • Develop their leadership potential and style
